M2 Media Group Names Michael Sheehy Director of New Business Development


Stamford, CT, April 18, 2011 — M2 Media Group announced today that Michael Sheehy joined its management team as Director of New Business Development. Mr. Sheehy comes to M2 after 13 years in a leadership role at Wenner Media, where he served as Circulation Director of Rolling Stone, Us Weekly and Men's Journal. "I'm thrilled to be joining M2," said Sheehy. "The company has experienced tremendous growth as an innovator in the industry, and I look forward to being part of their talented team."

During his tenure at Wenner, Mr. Sheehy was integral in Us Weekly's turnaround into one of the top selling magazine titles, second only to People in total consumer dollars spent. Prior, he was at Times Mirror where he worked on The Sporting News and Golf Magazine, and previously held positions with New York Times, Gruner + Jahr and Scholastic. Michael is a frequent speaker and author on circulation issues and was an active member of the Magazine Directors Advisory Committee.
